Welcome to the conference
“Modernising EU justice systems by boosting training of justice professionals”

Dear colleagues and partners,
The Portuguese Presidency of the Council of the EU, the Centro de Estudos Judiciários (CEJ) of Portugal and the European Commission have the pleasure to invite the national and EU-level training providers and professional associations for justice professionals to this conference of stakeholders.
We will hear about the quantitative and qualitative objectives of the new European judicial training strategy 2021-2024 and about the Council conclusions ‘Boosting training of justice professionals’.
Together in working groups, we will discuss how to step-up the efforts in the training of the different justice professionals on EU law and ensure the national re-use of EU-level projects’ results. We will share our findings regarding the new challenges that the training offers should address.
We will also learn about some latest good practices for e-learning, discover the new European Training Platform and reflect about what the “new normal” may look like for judicial training.
We are looking forward to our fruitful debates.
